Flannel Sheets in the South
I know we're all experiencing bad weather, but it's especially discomforting to be in the South, expecting warm weather, and, instead, having icy rain, school closings, and runs on milk and bread. My hosts changed my satin linen to flannel sheets in anticipation of the cold weather and I was traumatized. It's not that I don't like flannel sheets it's just that my new plaid pj's from Dillard's are flannel and when I sleep in flannel sheets in flannel pj's I tend to get stuck and my hair stands up all over and my eye lashes get twisted and I can't get out of bed. They're as bad as Velcro. The last time I wore flannel pj's on flannel sheets I was alone and I had to call 911 and say, "Help, I'm stuck in my bed on flannel sheets.", and the guy thought I was kidding and they never came, and the only way I got out of bed was to struggle out of the pj's one sleeve and one leg at a time, and then, naked and in the cold, peel the pj's off the sheets. You may think this funny, but it was very traumatic and I just finished therapy to put this experience behind me, so to speak. So, I think I'm going back to Dillard's and exchange my flannel pj's for satin and avoid therapy at all costs!
Other ideas, or like experiences are appreciated!ll
